Hound dogs are a type of hunting dog which ranges broadly in size. From little Dachshunds to large Irish Wolfhounds, they were either bred as scent or sighthounds, dependent on their owners needs. They're fiercely independent dogs who instinctively are able to work alone, so tend to be well-suited to being on their own for short periods of time compared to other breeds. They love free-running excerise where they can follow their natural instincts and are very affectionate with their owners.
